Historical BackgroundReturn to Top
Ajax Builders was a small building company with one office located at 7417 Roosevelt Way Seattle, Washington. The founder and president of Ajax Builders was Elmer L. Nelson. In the 1950s, the primary staff included President Elmer L. Nelson, Vice President Edward R. Carter, and Secretary-treasurer Mary L. Nelson. Ajax Builders sold mobile structures including garages, barns, retail shops, houses, and house additions. Their buildings were shown in open lots and when purchased, would be moved on trucks to the buyer's location.
