Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Lawrence Jeffery Epstein (1946-) is a teacher, author, and scholar from New York, United States. He earned his B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. from the University of Albany. He was a professor of English at Suffolk County Community College from 1974-2008. His areas of interest include American culture and society and Jewish life. In 2018, he started publishing his own mystery series titled The Danny Ryle Mysteries.

"Gorpus Tibetanicus" is, according to Epstein, Tibetan gorp.

This collection originally numbered 66-19.1-3; Epstein asked that this be changed since he didn't go into the field until 1969-70.
