Scope and Content: Tape recorded interview conducted by K. Winn and M. Kaplan on 30 Nov 1971, covering the years 1909-1925.
This second interview discusses Mrs. Nelson's coming to Seattle in 1909 and her husband's business efforts, first as a peddler, then as a wholesaler in the junk business, and finally in the second-hand auto parts business. She also describes her life in Seattle at that time. "Mrs. Nelson later recalled that the home in which the first chapter of Hadassah in Seattle was formed belonged to Mr. and Mrs. Harris Waxman" added 2 Dec. 1971.
