Clifford Drury acquired these papers in May 1936, from the home of Jonathan Pratt's son, Carlton, in Rushville, New York.

Acquisition Information

Clifford Drury gifted the papers to the Washington State University Libraries between 1940 and 1961 (MS 1983-42).

Separated Materials

The papers of Jonathan Pratt were recieved by the WSU Libraries with the Marcus and Narcissa Whitman Papers, 1823-1961 (Cage 142). The Pratt material relating to Marcus Whitman were retained in that collection.
