Reginald A'Court Simmonds (1884-1962) was born in London, and educated at Trinity College, Toronto. He was rector of St. Mark's church, Protestant Episcopal, in Portland, Oregon, 1924-1951.

The collection contains sermons, sermon notes, correspondence, service programs, publications, a diary of a trip to England, and personal mementos and photographs.

There are about 390 sermons. Many are undated and in semi-outline form. There are also files of sermon notes and clippings.

Programs of service include services at St. Marks in Portland, Westminster Abbey in London, and Trinity Episcopal Church in Portland.

Correspondence is from 1922-1926.

Publications include The Oregon Churchman (1953-1954).

Other materials include a program and photographs of the commissioning of the H.M.S Tracker, a diary of a trip to Southern England and Continent (1956), and biographical information and mementos including clippings, certificates, and photographs.
