T.A. and Amelia Kent were settlers in the Wyoming Territory. They came to Cheyenne in 1867 where he became a business man dealing with wholesale liquor and banking. Kent lost his fortune in the panic of 1893 and moved to Colorado where he worked in real estate until his death. The Kents started and raised their family in Cheyenne, Wyoming; they had three children. Their daughter, Amelia Kent, became the First Lady of Wyoming when she married Amos W.
