Historical Note
Eddy Duchin was a pianist and big band leader. He began his career by playing piano with Leo Reisman’s orchestra in a New York City nightclub. He became the orchestra’s leader in 1932. During World War II, Duchin served in the U.S. Navy. In 1949 he starred in a radio show titled “The Eddy Duchin Show.”

The Eddy Duchin papers include handwritten music of arrangements for Duchin’s dance orchestra, scrapbooks of his career, and audio recordings of Eddy Duchin and others.
