Biographical NoteReturn to Top

The George Wilson family farmed near Colton, Washington. There were four sons: Leon, Robert, Byron and Lewis. Leon attended Whitman College in Walla Walla for two years around 1910. During the summer of 1911 he played baseball for the Chicago White Sox as a pitcher. Neighboring farms near Colton included the Nathan Maynard and the M. A. Ferguson farms.

The Wilson family photographs were donated to the Washington State University Library in November, 1976 by Claude Simpson of Pullman.
