- Paul S. Nathan, writer of the "Rights and Permissions" column in Publishers Weekly, was employed by Paramount Pictures, 1937-1948, to view and report on all new plays in New York and vicinity, concerning story material, actors, designers, and other details of possible motion picture value. Collection consists of Nathan's reports (including plot summaries, critical review, comments, and notes concerning Paramount Pictures), correspondence, an unpublished manuscript, fan letters, and publicity items.

Collection consists of Nathan's reports (including plot summaries, critical review, comments, and notes concerning Paramount Pictures), correspondence, unpublished manuscript, fan letters, and publicity items.
The initial 1967 donation includes production reports arranged chronologically from 1937-1948. Included in the paper finding aid is an alphabetical index to the reports.
The 1969 Addenda contains a manuscript, correspondence, and miscellaneous documents.
The manuscript is for My Wife the Horticulturist, which was not published.
Correspondence, 1936-1969, is between people and organizations including editors, publishers, and presses. Correspondence is organized alphabetically by correspondent.
