The Beehive House was built in 1854 and served as home to Brigham Young when he was President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and governor of Utah Territory. Restoration committee members included Helen Young Spencer Williams, Don Carlos Young, Gwen Young Wilcox, and George Cannon Young. This committee was established in 1959 to organize the restoration of the Beehive House.
