Historical Note
Ed Wapp (Wahpeconiah) (1943 - 2016) ABD in ethnomusicology from the University of Washington, was one of the founders of the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Ed eventually became the ethnomusicologist at the Institute for many of the 21 years he lived in Santa Fe, teaching piano and flute, along with a variety of courses in music and the arts.

Notes: There is a gap in recording between tapes 79-14.2 and 79-14.3 Both sections of the song are incomplete. 79-14.3.wav additionally needed to be EQ'd due to inconsistent levels. Both the original file and an EQ'd version (79-14.3_EQ.wav) have been saved.
