Allen Quentin Howard (1908-1994) was born to Eva Richardson and Wilson Allen Howard. He was a musician, businessman, woodworker, photographer, and geologist. He graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in geology and later finished three years of correspondence courses in law. He worked as a claims manager for General Motors during the 1930s, managing areas in four western states.
