Scope and Content: Writings, correspondence, interview transcript.
From 1939-1945 Leah Gruen (later Schwarz) worked with Gisi Fleischmann and Rabbi Weissmandel to assist many Jews to escape Slovakia. Included are 7 pages of typewritten notes on her experiences, written shortly before her death and translated by Dr. Eric Offenbacher. Also xeroxed copies of falsified passports and official correpondence regarding her immigration to the U.S. in 1946 - with Dr. Offenbacher's explanatory notes. Article on Micheal B. Weissmandel whom L. Schwarz worked with.
