The Inland Empire Christmas Tree Association (IECTA) is a non-profit organization founded by growers of Christmas trees with the goal of helping each other to develop and market their products. It was created on February 7, 1963 under the name of Idaho Christmas Tree Growers Association (ICTGA). It received its present name in 1981. Major events in its history include hosting in 1992 the annual meeting of the National Christmas Tree Association in Spokane, WA, the incorporation in 2004 of the Montana Christmas Tree Association, and the election of one of its members, Marvin Kaschke of Polson, Montana as Director of the National Christmas Tree Association (NCTA). Today, the IECTA includes growers from Montana, Idaho, eastern Washington and eastern Oregon. The Needle News is the official organ of the IECTA. The materials include financial records and organizational records. The financial records include bank statements, billings, budgets, and Treasurer’s records and reports. The organizational records include membership correspondence, minutes of Directors meetings, minutes of the Spring and Fall meetings, surveys, membership mailing lists, Constitution and Bylaws, etc.
