Historical Note
Albert “Bert” H. Oldman (b. 1869) was a miner who came to Encampment, Wyoming, from Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1899. He married Lora Webb Nichols (1883-1962) in 1900, and the couple divorced in 1910. He became a stockholder in mining companies in and around Encampment, Wyoming.
Content Description
The collection contains two ledgers dating from 1901 to 1911. They appear to relate payouts for services and labor that were done for the company Webb and Welch managed by P.F. Welch, W.F. Webb, and C.W. Webb which operated in Encampment, Wyoming.
