Historical NoteReturn to Top

James E. Dyer (1894-1970) joined the Sinclair Oil Corporation in 1916 and retired in 1962 as its vice chairman and director. He was a former National Recovery Administrator for the oil industry and during World War II served on the Petroleum Industry War Council. He was a director of the American Petroleum Institute and was also active in Catholic charities.
