Historical Note
The Goodhope Mining Company was incorporated under Missouri law on March 29, 1902, by a group of the major stockholders of the Granite-BiMetallic Consolidated Mining Company, including Paul Fusz, Charles D. McLure, Horace Rumsey, A.B. Ewing, L.M. Rumsey, and others. They acquired the property of the Hope Mining Company of St. Louis. The company worked the properties until it reorganized as the Hope Mining Company in 1907.
