- Clifton Pease (1884-1937) was a Seattle publicist, and radio program writer with a special interest in Asia. Clifton (or O. Clifton) Pease (1884-1937) was a Seattle publicist, and radio program writer with a special interest in Asia.

The collection (1971-1938) contains radio scripts and interviews, diaries from when Pease served in the Canadian Expeditionary Force (1917-1919), and a diary from a trip to Japan, Korea, and China (1929).
The papers include radio scripts and interviews for his programs "Orientalogue" (1934) and "Let's Get Associated with Washington" (about Washington state) (1938). There is a text of a full program with an interview with Lt. Commander Frank Hawks.
There are multiple volumes of diaries from when Pease was a lieutenant in the 198th and 75th Battalions, Canadian Expeditionary Force, 1917-1919.
There is also one diary of a trip Pease took to Japan, Korea, and China in 1929. The diaries are very descriptive and reflective. There is also a scrapbook with clippings.
