Content DescriptionReturn to Top
Hand-written letter dated January 11, 1932, from George R. Boylan, Box 308, Blackfoot, Idaho to the Canyon County Attorney in Caldwell, Idaho, seeking assistance regarding the welfare of his wife and child. In his letter, Boylan writes that he is “serving time,” thus it is likely he was a resident of Idaho’s State Hospital South, a psychiatric care facility located then, as now, in Blackfoot. According to his letter, Boylan’s wife, Mildred, and their “baby” were living in Caldwell, where Mildred worked at the Home Café.
At the time of the 1920 Census, Boylan was 20-years-old and living in Caldwell. No information was available for George Boylan or Mildred Boylan in 1930 Census data.
