In many cases there is no information about who donated a scrapbook to the Archives. When ownership information is known or suspected a note has been made in the description of the scrapbook. The majority of the scrapbooks were likely acquired prior to the 1970s by the UM Museum and /or the University of Montana's Museum and Northwest History Collection, the precursors to the Archives.
It is possible that clipping scrapbooks will be added to this collection in the future.

Scrapbook includes clippings about Montana pioneers and a 1944 Society of Montana Pioneers convention program. This scrapbook was likely created by Bessie Tice of the Drummond / Dear Lodge, Montana area.

This scrapbook includes clippings of the Deer Lodge and Drummond, Montana area, Montana pioneers and historic events and a few of Tombstone, Arizona. The scrapbook was likely created by Bessie Tice of the Drummond / Dear Lodge, Montana area.

This scrapbook includes clippings about Montana pioneers, Native Americans, and historic events and trends, some even before Montana was a territory. The glued-on front title reads "Echoes From the Distant Past."

The bulk of the clippings in this scrapbook are about mining and politics in Butte and Anaconda. The clippings are from newspapers ranging from Montana to Salt Lake City, Arizona, New York, Philadelphia, and Montreal.

Scrapbook includes clippings about the famous pilot Charles Lindbergh's flying exploits, his marriage to Anne Morrow, and the birth of their son, as well as a few loose clippings about other pilots of the time. The clippings are from a variety of newspapers including the Missoulian, the New York World, and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. Donated by Lillian Bodack.

Blanche E. Hardy
The twelve chronologically organized scrapbooks include political cartoons about World War II and provide a significant history of social and political attitudes during the war. The cartoons are from newspapers such as the Boston Evening Transcript, the Boston Daily Globe, the Boston Herald, and the Christian Science Monitor. Although the bulk of the cartoons were clipped from those Boston newspapers, many are reprints from other major cities' papers. Among the cartonists are Pulitzer Prize winners Bruce Russell and Herb Block. Scrapbooks compiled by Blanche E. Hardy of Boston and donated by Moira Payne, the daughter of Hardy's business partner.
