Biographical Note

The National Forests Committee of the Washington State Chapter of the Sierra Club works on issues that affect the National Forests in the Washington Cascades, Olympic Mountains, Columbia Highlands, and the Blue Mountains. The committee seeks to preserve and protect the ancient forests, roadless areas, watersheds, and forest habitat. Mark Lawler served as the Chair of the National Forests Committee for 30 years, until 2015.
