On December 18, 1979, the former boyfriend of a resident of WSU’s Perham Hall came to WSU and demanded to see his girlfriend. When she proved unavailable, the man detonated an explosive on Perham’s fifth floor, killing himself, injuring two police officers, and causing significant damage to the floor.
Content DescriptionReturn to Top
The collection consists of miscellaneous documents created in the few months after the explosion and retained in WSU Housing Offices. They primarily consist of newspaper clippings, documentation of damaged items, and “thank you” letters, and well as a small set of other items.
