In 1991, the Hispanic Oral History Project interviewed 22 Hispanic immigrants and descendents of immigrants who lived in Idaho. The project was sponsored by the Idaho Humanities Council, the Ethnic Heritage Committee of the Idaho Centennial Commission, and the Idaho Commission on Hispanic Affairs and resulted in the publication of the book Voces hispanas = Hispanic voices of Idaho.

This collection contains 21 interviews conducted in 1991 with Hispanic immigrants and descendents of immigrants in Idaho. The interviews are held on 36 audio cassettes, seven of the interviews have transcript indexes. Also, included with the collection are personal data forms of participants.
Participants in the project discuss topics including, how they (or their families) came to Idaho, family and social life, and work.
