Historical Note

The Doro Company was a partnership of Clarence I. Paulsen, Howard C. Paulsen, Harry L. Day, and Henry L. Day, formed in the summer of 1939 to search for a drag-line dredging property in northern Idaho or western Montana. The principal project was a test by shafting of property of the Independence Placer Co. along Moose Creek, on the Clearwater National Forest, Idaho. Clarence Paulsen managed the field work of the Doro Company. As no suitable properties were located, the partnership was apparently dissolved during the winter of 1939-1940.
