Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Ann Henrichsen Matthews was born April 16, 1921 in Holladay, Utah, to Lillian Pearl Bertoch and Ernest Peter Henrichsen. Ann graduated from the University of Utah and taught dance and art at elementary through college levels. She was a prolific artist and shared her talents by painting portraits of family, friends, landscapes and still-life paintings, some of which were made into cards and are sold commercially. Her artistic work also included illustrating a dance history book authored by Elizabeth Hayes. She married Milton Paul Matthews on December 18, 1943.
