Biographical Note

Ruth Love is the granddaughter of Alice Lowenstein and the niece of Edith Braun. Flora Kleinmann, also known as "Gute Mutter" is her great grandmother. Flora's daughter Alice, married Ferdinand Lowenstein and had two children, Egon and Edith. Egon married Trude Furnberg and had a daughter, Inge Ruth. Edith married Leopold Reingruber (Boxl), her first husband, in Austria. Edith would later marry Otto Braun in the United States. Inge Ruth and her parents, Alice's son Egon Loewenstein and his wife Trude, moved to Seattle in 1946. Egon Herman Loewenstein became George Egon Leeds while in the United States. Inge Ruth Leeds later married Kenneth Love.

Content Description

The photos date from the 1910s through the 1980s, some in Europe, some in the United States. Photos include Loewenstein and Kleinmann family members in Austria, Braun and Love family members in the United States, Otto Braun in the Austrian military (WWI) and the Braun fruit stand business in Florida.
