Administrative Information

Arrangement

The collection was received unordered. Each photograph is labeled on the back with a date and a geographic location. Photographs have been foldered alphabetically by Washington county (Whitman county has been further subdivided into a number of areas, again sorted alphabetically), and then chronologically by photograph date. A few larger non-county-specific regions have been located at the end of the collection. Several hundred unidentified photographs, mostly those of geese and/or nests, were discarded during processing.

Acquisition Information

This collection was received as UPC 2008-01 at Washington State University (WSU) Libraries' Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections (MASC) in November, 2008 from Matthew J. Monda of the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife in Ephrata, WA, where the photographs had been stored for an unknown number of years.

Processing Note

This collection was processed by History graduate student Nathan Sowry and University Archivist Mark O'English in September, 2010.
