Upon graduating from Williams College in 1890, Talcott Miner Banks (1868-1951) worked as a partner in Henry W. Banks & Sons, a New York coffee and tea importing firm where he remained from 1892 to 1905. In 1906, Banks moved to Williamstown, Mass. where he founded and served as editor of the Williams Alumni Review. Banks was also extremely active in such societies as the Kappa Alpha fraternity and Phi Beta Kappa.
