Content Description

The LaVarr G. Webb papers (1788-1986) contain pamphlets, articles, speeches, correspondence, political platforms, and other documents relavent to Utah and National politics. The first group of boxes deal with Utah issues, beginning with Utah Legislative actions and moving on to Utah political parties. After a brief focus on local government in Utah, state-wide issues and Utah elections are documented. After a section on regional issues, the national parties are documented. Of special note is the section on National Special Interest Groups following the political parties section. The collection ends with several articles on United States Presidents and an assortment of different documents. LaVarr Webb donated his collection to the Hinckley Institute of Politics at the University of Utah in 1984, prior to its transfer to the Marriott Library.
