This film covers the publicity and advertising of the Seattle World's Fair at the Rose Parade with the "Rose Team" - made up of five festival queens from Washington - and Washington State Governor Albert Rosellini, Grand Marshal of the 1962 Rose Parade. President John F. Kennedy arrives by helicopter to Tacoma, Washington on September 27, 1963. He arrives at Cheney Stadium, Tacoma, and is greeted by several men including R. Franklin Thompson, President of the University of Puget Sound, and Robert Nortvedt, President of the Pacific Lutheran University, both dressed in collegiate caps and gowns. Kennedy speaks on a stage with other men. Kennedy walks through the crowd and shakes hands and talks to people.
