Biographical Note

Professor L. C. Read was a band master and music teacher in Colfax, Washington. He traveled through the Inland Empire with bands and orchestras.

This collection consists of thirteen manuscript orchestra parts and a second edition mimeograph typescript libretto by W. B. Hargrave from a comic opera set on the campus of Yale University. The music is by Professor L. C. Read. Some of the materials are annotated.
