Biographical Note
Omer Preminger is an Associate Professor in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Maryland from 2017 to present (2022). His research interests span the linguistic sub-fields traditionally identified as syntax and morphology. Preminger works on various languages, including: Basque, Kaqchikel, Icelandic, English, Hebrew, Sakha, Q’anjob’al, Kinyarwanda, Shi, Oromo, and Georgian. Preminger received his PhD in linguistics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2011. He received his Bachelor's in Science in Computer Science and Linguistics from Tel Aviv University in 2004 and his Master's in Linguistics from the same university in 2006. Preminger has worked at the University of Maryland, University of Rochester, Syracuse University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Harvard University.
Content Description
One USB with linguistic elicitations with four Santiago Tz'utujil consultants: Andrea, Andreina, Rosalia and Rosario Ramirez, recorded July 2019 in Santiago Atitlan. Research including audio recordings, transcriptions, visual stimuli and field notes from Preminger, Baron, Paulina Lyskawa and Ranero for Santiago Tz'utujil (Mayan).
