Historical NoteReturn to Top
On Sunday, October 29, 2000, the 110 year-old building which housed the Corner Drug Store in Pullman, Washington burned to the ground. In 2002-2003, the Town Centre building was built on that spot, and housed the Washington State University Foundation offices on the 3rd and 4th floors.

The collection consists of 181 images of the construction of the Town Centre building, located on the southwest corner of Main and Kamiaken in Pullman, Washington. The photographs were taken on 26 different days between April 26, 2002 and April 23, 2003, and document the construction of the building from an empty lot through to the grand opening. Individual images are all jpegs, range from 26 kb to 613 kb in size, and are either 480 x 640 pixels, or 1200 x 1600.

Arrangement
Images are on a CD in 26 folders, each corresponding to the date on which the photographs were taken. A digital copy of the CD is retained in WSU MASC’s archival storage facilities. A set of contact sheets of the images was printed and is physically in the box with the CD, 35 images to a page.
Acquisition Information
This CD of images was donated to the Washington State University Libraries’ Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections by Brian Cornelius of the WSU Foundation somewhere between 2003 and 2007, and was retained unaccessioned.
Processing Note
In June 2019, student Kaitlyn Van Vleet copied the digital files into the WSU MASC digital archives. The collection was described in November 2019 and physical contact sheets created by University Archivist Mark O’English; no changes have been made to the original CD.
