Montana Committee for the Humanities Records, 1972-2006

This series includes minutes from the full committee as well as the grants, special, finance, fundraising, and museum committees. The meeting minute folders house materials including (but not limited to), minutes, agendas, programs, notes and letters, and other miscellaneous meeting materials. This run of minutes was drawn from multiple accessions, including a few that were likely generated by MCH board members rather than MCH staff.

The Administrative series has been arranged in three subseries: Correspondence, Proposals and Reports, and Miscellaneous. Some MCH founding documents are included in the Miscellanenous subseries.

Financial documents in the MCH Collection include tax returns (1973-1984) and audits (1975-1986). Audits include accountant's reports of MCH in its entirety as well as management audits.

The Publications series includes MCH newsletters, brochures, and publications. Miscellaneous newsletter photos are also in this series.

This series contains files documenting events that were coordinated by MCH. Often these events were recurring over a number of years.

This series consists of files that were part of early accessions but were not added to the first five series of this collection. These files have been only minimally reviewed by Archives staff and some may belong with other series in the collection. Files are listed here to facilitate discovery and access.

The contents in this series are part of Accession 2007-27 and align with other series in this collection, but have not yet been included in the listing for those series.
