- Dr. Albert G. Prill was a physician for the Southern Pacific Railway and a well-known ornithologist. He lived in Scio, Oregon. Collection includes notes on natural history, conservation of wildlife and Pacific Northwest birds; clippings and radio scripts about his collection of birds; scrapbooks of photographs of nests, eggs and birds; bird notes from Malheur Lake Reservation by Prill and Stanley Jewett; descriptions of trips to collect and observe with Dr. J. H. Hill; and articles and papers by Prill.

Biographical NoteReturn to Top
During his life, Dr. Albert G. Prill was a physician for the Southern Pacific Railway. He came to Oregon in 1890. For 53 years, he lived in Scio, Oregon. As well as being a physician, he was a well-known ornithologist who presented part of his collection to the University of Oregon. His wife was named Anna. He also served as mayor and school board president of Scio, Oregon.
