Biographical NoteReturn to Top
Gayathri Rajapur Kassebaum is a musician, ethnomusicologist, and teacher. She earned her B.A. from Karnatic University Dharwar, her M.A. in ethnomusicology from the University of Hawaii, and her Ph.D from the University of Washington. She has done field research on Karnatic music and lectured on the topic at the University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. She has performed across the United States, India, and Europe.
