Arrangement

The materials have been arranged into an alphabetical set of series. Images within a series are in no particular order. In the final folder is a two-page biographical history of the collector of these images and the donor, written by the donor.

Acquisition Information

The postcards were donated to Washington State University Libraries’ Manuscripts, Archives, and Special Collections (MASC) by Robert Guard of Port Townsend, WA on October 27, 2016. Colin Sandwith, who collected the postcards, was Mr. Guard’s maternal grandfather. The images were accessioned as UA2016-02.

Processing Note

The postcards were reorganized and foldered in groups. These have been files as PC 60, filling a hole in the Photo Collections series. What, if anything, was previously located as PC 60 is no longer known; it was removed sometime prior to 2002.
