Historical Note
Thomas C. Denton (d. 1975) was an African specialist in the U.S. Bureau of Mines' Foreign Minerals Division during the 1950s and 1960s.
Content Description
Collection contains color slides taken by Denton on several African trips between 1957 and 1961. The slide images are of mines, mining scenes, and other miscellaneous images in a number of African countries, including South Africa, Namibia, Rhodesia, Liberia, and Sierra Leone.
