Historical Note
M.W. Ensign (William M. Ensign) was a locating engineer for the Burlington & Missouri Railroad, a subsidiary of the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad (often referred to as the CB&Q). He conducted surveys for the railroad in the Midwest and Rocky Mountains including Wyoming.
