Collection consists of 725 black and white aerial photographs, taken from December 23, 1964, to January 16, 1965, of rivers and cities affected by the Christmas Day flood in the Pacific Northwest, primarily in Oregon, as well as scenes of bridges and dams. Also included are a small number of photographs of Congresswoman Edith Green in a helicopter to inspect flood damage, and an index to the images. Rivers and cities depicted in the collection include the Clackamas River, the Molalla River, the Santiam River, Lebanon, the Willamette River, the South Santiam River, the McKenzie River, the Calapooia River, the Tualatin River, Portland, Oregon City, Lake Oswego, Wilsonville, the Long Tom River, Mill City, the Kalama River, the Clatskanie River, the Columbia River, the Washougal River, the Sandy River, the Chewaucan River, the Crooked River, Prineville, the Ochoco River, the Warm Springs River, the Umpqua River, and the Rogue River.
