This collection consists of a diary covering the year 1914 written by Norman P. Lawson, a teacher and farm hand in rural eastern Washington. He taught many immigrant children of all ages, including from Volga German and Irish families. The diary also details his interactions with local agricultural and other regional bureaucracies.
