Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Orpha Sweeten Boyden was born in Malad, Idaho, and was raised in northern Utah and southern Idaho. She was married to John Boyden and was an active member of the Salt Lake City community, especially in the Yale II Ward and Bonneville Stake of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was influential in creating a place in her community for the Cub Scouts and was awarded the Boy Scouts Silver Beaver Award. Orpha Boyden died in 1998.
