Jeanine Wittcke was involved in lesbian and gay activism in the Portland, Oregon, area in the 1990s and 2000s, and participated in the lesbian/gay march on Washington, D.C., in 1993. As a telephone worker at US West in Portland, she helped to organizae the Employee Association for Gay & Lesbian Employees of US West (EAGLE). She also served on the board of directors of the Gay and Lesbian Archives of the Pacific Northwest (GLAPN).

The collection contains assorted materials related to LGBT organizations in and around Portland, Oregon, and the 1993 lesbian/gay March on Washington. Organizations represented include: EAGLE (Employee Association for Gay & Lesbian Employees of US West); GLAPN (Gay & Lesbian Archive of the Pacific Northwest, of which Wittcke was a board member); "No On 9" campaign; and PRIDE At Work.
