Biographical Note
Enid Ruth Hammer (1925-1996) was born in North Adams, Massachusetts. Hammer grew up in Albany, New York and attended Ithaca College. She moved to Seattle in 1948 with her husband Leonard where he worked at Seattle Quilt Manufacturing.
Content Description
Oral history interview conducted by Nancy Blase on January 7, 2012. Hammer discusses her family history, her life in the Jewish community in Seattle, and the history of the companies Seattle Quilt Manufacturing and Alaska Copper and Brass.
