Content Description
The Lois Hamilton Fuller papers consist of the research, drafts, and correspondece relating to her four books which were published in the 1960s. The collection contains all the articles Fuller published in various children's magazines from the late 1940s. Also included is correspondence between Fuller and her publishers, as well as fan letters Fuller received from children.
Biographical Note
Lois Hamilton Fuller was bom in Bayonne, New Jersey on August 13, 1915. Her husband's job with the US embassy led the Fullers to many countries around the world such as Africa and India. This influenced her writings, as her stories are placed in various regions and epochs. During her career, Fuller wrote four children's books and contributed articles, games, and prose to various children's magazines. A resident of Boise, Idaho in the 1990s, Lois Hamilton Fuller passed away in Sherwood Oaks, California at the age of 94.
