Content Description

Maps, slides, and photographs related to Aagaard's involvement with the SAVE (Save a Valuable Environment) organization in the Bothell and neighboring suburban area of Seattle. Maps refer to the Koll realignment and buffer of North Creek, the Public Utilities District, and Shoreline Permit. Slides and photos from 1974-2002 include pastoral views of North Creek Valley. Photographs were taken before the Creek was realigned and immediately after the realignment, as well as photos of flooding from 1986, which resulted in levees being raised. Slides provide a historical overview of the controversial process of developing farmlands focused on the Vitulli property, including slides of the farm buildings, newpaper articles, and pastoral views of the property. Also includes photographs and slides from 1976-1989, which feature the Dick Truly Farm.
