Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Patricia Pierce Erikson holds a Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology and Native American Studies from UC Davis. Their research interests include identity and representation, material culture, indigenous self-determination movements, and the anthropology of museums. Erikson’s JRF-funded project offers a historic, ethnographic and theoretical analysis on the relationship between Native American material culture/knowledge and national heritage/property by methodologically balancing locally centered (Neah Bay) and nationally centered (D.C.) theoretical lenses.
