Content DescriptionReturn to Top

The Winslow Whitney Smith Papers contain correspondence and other records pertaining to Smith's LDS Church mission to Germany, 1927-1930, as well as his experience as a mission president for the Austrian mission later in life.

The earlier material is an excellent and unusually complete record of the Mormon missionary experience in Europe at that time period, and includes correspondence between Smith and a cousin discussing sexual matters and the difficulty of adhering to the strict lifestyle standards of the mission field.
