- This collection of 14 snapshots by an unidentified photographer gives a brief tourist-eye-view of a visit to the Lewis and Clark Exposition in Portland, Oregon, in 1905. The photographs primarily depict buildings at the exposition, but also include one snapshot of the Cedar River at Renton, Washington. The photographs are glued to seven album pages that appear to have been removed from a larger album.

Portland, Oregon, presented the Lewis and Clark Centennial Exposition and Oriental Fair in 1905. The world's fair drew visitors from the region, nation, and world to see what Portland had to offer. It featured buildings of exhibits representing many states and nations, as well as a midway called the "Trail."

This collection of 14 snapshots by an unidentified photographer (possibly from Washington state) gives a brief tourist-eye-view of a visit to the Lewis and Clark Centennial Exposition and Oriental Fair in Portland, Oregon, in 1905. The photographs primarily depict buildings at the exposition. Places shown include the Oriental Building; the Forestry Building; the Oregon Building; the bridge across Guild's Lake; the Government Building; the Agricultural Building; the Washington Building; the midway, called the Trail; and the fairgrounds. Also included is one snapshot of the Cedar River at Renton, Washington. The photographs are glued to seven album pages that appear to have been removed from a larger album. Captions in white ink are handwritten on the album pages below each photograph.

Photographs were originally collected by the Clarke Historical Museum in Eureka, California, before being transferred to the Oregon Historical Society Research Library in 2004.
