Biographical NoteReturn to Top

Robert Allen Eckert was a Seattle architect who worked for Harstad & Associates in the 1950s and 1960s, later moving on to the position of Manager of Architectural Services at Weyerhaeuser Company in Tacoma, Washington. Eckert received a degree in architecture from the University of Oregon in 1951, then completed a master's degree at MIT in 1952. He was elected to the American Institute of Architects College of Fellows in 1984.

The collection includes drawings for about sixteen Washington, Oregon and Alaska projects including Grays Harbor County Rural Library, Shelton City Hall, W.H. Abel Memorial Library, Jon Evans residence, Tok Lodge in Tok Junction, AK and others. Textual materials consist of brochures and some of Eckert's architecture school work.
